In 2005, the Community Foundation funded a study by a consultant to access the needs of a new senior center building for the Salisbury-Wicomico County area.  The study assessed the current needs of our senior population and the impact of the baby boomers upon the future growth of the senior services network.  "The time has come to retire our 83 year old building." said Peggy Bradford, executive director of MAC Incorporated.  The results of the study supported the need for a new building to allow MAC to move into the 21st Century and meet the growing needs and changing expectations of our senior population.

Designed by Becker Morgan, the rendering at the top of this page gives you an idea of the size & scope of the new building.  The building will be more than twice the size of the current Pine Bluff facility.  The new senior center will include a Wellness Center, full commercial kitchen, convenient conference & meeting space, a computer lab, as well has being the new home for Riverside Place and the administrative offices of the Area Agency on Aging.

BUY A BRICK PROGRAM

We are raising money to help pay for our new senior citizens center.
MAC has been in an old building for over thirty years, and now we need to move to a new site.  The center will be located on the grounds of the Holly Center off of Snow Hill Road in Salisbury.
A 4’ X 8” brick costs $125.00 and will be placed at the entrance to the new center.
We recommend three lines per brick.
